Our Founder – (1945-2016)
We pay tribute to our founding partner, the late Attorney Antonia Lawrence, who was a visionary and true pillar within our community. Among many things, he was a civil rights leader, dynamic trial attorney and longtime chairman of the Rocky Mount-Edgecombe Community Development Corporation. He played a pivotal role in the revitalization of the historic Douglas Block in downtown Rocky Mount, NC, where our office is located today. His leadership and dedication to helping others provided a solid foundation for our firm and we strive to uphold his legacy with each client we serve.

Attorney Best has practiced law in New Jersey, New York, and North Carolina. She considers the practice of law as a ministry of justice and concentrates in family law, including divorces and child custody. She serves as the attorney for the Edgecombe County Department of Social Services in Child and Elderly Abuse and Neglect cases, and she also practices Incorporation, Social Security Disability, Bankruptcy, and Workers Compensation Law.
